Infamy – Doing disreputable things that the public can find out about can gain the party Infamy. Unlike despicable pirates, being infamous is generally bad and only has penalties for heroes. Infamy directly subtracts from Fame when determining what Fortune actions are available. Also for every 5 pts of Infamy there is a -2 penalty to CHA based skills (except Intimidate) and Appraise when dealing with law abiding citizen, guards, and merchants. Finally at 10 points of Infamy the party will be “Wanted for Questioning” in cities, at 20+ points “Arrest on Sight”.
